Fuel pump Removal Question Del Sol

Default Fuel pump Removal Question Del Sol




so i removed one of the lines.. how do i remove the other line? the one with the big nut on top of it? or am i even supposed to remove that at all?

yes big nut . also remember how the washers go on that thing when you take it out so you know how to put it back.

You mean the banjo bolt? Just take it off. There will be one washer on the top and one on the bottom.
What size is it? Don't you have a set of wrenches or sockets to choose from? It's probably 12 or 14 mm. Like everything on the car that isn't 10 or 17 mm. There is the occasional 8 in there too but that bolt isn't 8 mm.

It's either a 17mm or a 19mm and yes do remove it. Be careful of the washers.

The other nuts around the fuel pump are 10mm's

Are you replacing the fuel pump? If so I would recomend using a Honda one it's only a couple bucks more for better quality. After you remove both hoses, one connector, and the tens around the fuel pump it's ready to come out. Pull towards you and it should come out pretty easy

yeah im using a walbro 255 okay so im basiaclly almost done then after i remove the banjo and the 10's

man wat the hell i installed the pump and its pumping now but car still won't start
