Default fuel line question

so im getting ready to do my swap and someone said i need to switch out my stock fuel line (from fuel filter to fuel rail) for a 99-00 civic si one.(i have a 96 hatch)... i also heard from a friend of mine that you can just flip around the dx fuel line and it will work? any body ever try that?

but will the dx line work, reason im asking is that im litterally on my last 2 bucks for this swap... the machine shop ended up rapeing me in the end what was qouted to be 100 bucks turned into 217.00 so there goes my budget way out of wack. i still need to get a timming belt/
