Default Front sway bar help on a 96 EK

OK! I have a 96 EK w/ a GSR full motor sway and a USDM ITR five lug conversion. I'm trying to in stall a Front sway bar thats from a GSR. I have gsr LCA's on the front and everything mounts up with no issues. WHen I put the car on the ground the sway bar is in the way of the shift linkage. Can anyone help me. A friend of mine had this setup and had no issues. We can't seem to figure why its happening on mine. Any help would be greatful. I've looked through the threads and found a couple of posts, but none of them seem to help me.

I thought you had to run a EG/DC subframe etc etc etc in order to run a EG/DC front sway bar? Maybe I am wrong... but worth checking into.

If anything is going to change the height over the shift linkage it's going to be the subframe or D-brakets. Endlinks won't change anything. I don't know why anyone would go thru all the trouble to run a 2mm bigger sway bar that obviously doesn't fit properly. There are other bars that are bigger (if that's what you really want) that will fit without the hassle. Plus a bigger bar is just going to decrease traction and make the car understeer more without a equal or bigger bar on the rear. So if you have a 24mm on front you are gonna need something like the ASR 24mm on the rear or bigger. I don't think anyone makes a 26mm rear bar except Mugen.

You would be better off with the 22mm front and 24mm rear or 22mm ITR bar.

your better off without a front swaybar, it will handle better without a front swaybar, just take it off

You have to mount the endlinks below the LCA. Doing this will make the bar hang lower but it will pivot the top of the bar higher so it clears the shift rods. If you plan to go with an oem 22mm bar, make sure you get one from an EJ civic. A 22mm bar from an EG civic will run into the same issue.

Mounting the sway bar below the LCA and not having it parallel to the frame of the car. That sounds like the shittiest sway bar set up ever. GL

Update to everyone. I have a 98 GSR LCA's, front swaybar w/ endlinks. I still have to check on the subframe. I was planning on running a gsr front swaybar and a USDM itr rear. I had this setup on my last EK, but its been so long that I can't remember everything I put on it. That's why I"m in this situation now. Let me check and I'll get back to you guys about the subframe I'm running.
