Front suspension replacement.
I'm trying to put new shocks on the front end of my EG Sedan. (1993 LX)
Unfortunately, every spring compressor I put on the spring has too long of a jaw and end up denting up the shock. This was not an issue with the old shocks as I'm getting rid of them, but I'd rather not bang up brand new shocks.
I do NOT want to use this type. This type is BAD:
I would like to find this type, but I can't find anyone who has it in stock and is selling it:
Can anyone help me? If you've done suspension work, where'd you get your springs compressed?
I tried searching, but search came back with zero results for "spring" or "springs"... That's ludicrous. Surely someone's replaced springs.

Re: Front suspension replacement. (Pele)
What area of VA are you in. The first type you mentioned is not that bad you just have to be careful with it. (as you do all suspension work) That is what I used when I replaced mine and I had no problems at all.
