Default Front lower control arm

Everyone says you need the Si shock forks to mount the SI front lower control arm and sway. What if you used the back half of the SI arm and retained the front half of the stock one? That way you can use the stock forks? Anyone tried this. I have all the parts except the forks and can only find them new so I am exploring all of my options.

Thanks
