I have a 94 eg with a d16z6 engine. My question is will a head from a d16y8 engine bolt onto my block, and will my intake manifold bolt to the d16y8 head. I heard that the head from the d16y8 engine has a better combustion chamber design and will increase the compression ratio somewhat. I just want to know if it is worth the work to swap heads. I also plan to port and polish the d16y8 head, upgrade the valve springs, and install a gude stage 1 cam if the swap will work. I would appreciate any and all advice concerning this matter.
