lol well i guess this thread got moved by admin to this setion from another but i did call the cops just tryin to save a person a lot of money in fees from impound cuz if the ower recovers it themselves then no tow to the tow yard and thats $300 which could go to gettin the car back on its feet jeez

Let the police, insurance and owner deal with it.

Trust me, a couple hundred bucks worth of impound fees is nothing when you're getting your car back.

When my car was stolen they had a cop sit with the car (it was left running) in another vehicle behind my car. My car was never put in impound, never touched. I was contacted after they matched it to my stolen vehicle report. I drove out there and we drove the car back.

Had my car been put in impound I wouldn't be so pissed about the fees. I'd be happy to get my car back at all.

i personally wouldnt want my car in the pound cause they treat it like crap. But insurance (if the person has it) will take care of it
