This is gonna be a noob question, but can some one explain the procedure for replacing the bulbs. I've never had to work under my cluster, so I am totally lost in there.

I peeled off the blue bulb condom and dipped the bulbs in the Tamiya clear orange paint mabe four months ago. Still the same perfect amber color they were when I first put them in! Be sure to clean and lightly sand the bulbs before painting- basic paint surface prep.

The amber bulbs make it still white but with a yellowish tint....IMO wasnt worth all the trouble I went through

Yeah, I'll let you know for sure. Anyways, I was at wal-mart today and I found one but it's clear not amber( I forgot what part# ).. The pic above looks like the size of peanut bulb that use in corner lamp turn signals? My stock one are tiny lil fockers..

I took the covers off my EG cluster lights and they light up "whiteish" and my climate control is blueish and my Si radio is red...so I feel patriotic!

heres mine from my 92 cx, i went to autozone and found amber size 24 for $1.50 a pair. you'll need 5 pieces.

its a 92 jdm cluster, i'm using 5 size 24 bulbs, i'm gonna look at it again and see exactly how many bulbs.
this was my old cluster from my coupe 99 si

and cx cluster w/ sylvania amber bulbs


i should have just use my Si cluster on my EG, it would have been better...

i found 24 amber bulbs for Autozone. i put these in and didn't really like the color. so i colored the bulbs with a red permanent marker. it seem a more amber (kind of redish) i can't decide if i like it or not

the bulb in the middle is how they came new the one next to it are colored with red marker

how do you dissamble the cluster to replace the bulbs? i've never even taken or touched the cluster apart.

get a shop manual bro. save your self some humiliation of breaking parts and all that

1. remove hazard switch with a flat head
2. remove screw behind hazard switch
3.unplug clock
3.remove two screws on top of the cluster bezel with a phillips head
4.carefully pull out the black bezel containing the vents and all that
5. take 4 screws out holding the cluster in
6. take the cluster out
7. tahh dahh

i had my uncle get me the bulbs from pep boys *he was out, i was home doing HW *

i didn't really like the yellowish color they gave so i colored the bulbs red, and it sort of looks red now

i yank the bulbs outa my 94 ex clusters and i have 8 clear ones w/black sockets and 5 blues ones w/brown sockets. why do i have some many? and 24Na is the rite size for an eg rite?

I would be interested in doing this, but it seems as if everyone seems to be getting different variations and I cannot tell which mine will actually resemble if done. I would assume JDM ones are going to come out looking more amber then USDM. Has anyone done this in a 6gen Civic yet?

I just got done doing mine. They look pretty good I painted them red with a sharpie and put them in took like 10 minutes but i fucked up my clock pretty bad. You can make your clock amber too if you take it apart and replace that pinkish clear looking plate with something red im gonna go to staples later and see what I can find. I'll take some pics later tonight too.
