Is there any good way to get them clear again other than buying a new headlamp? Is there some cleaning solution that works best? I tried searching, but could not find a related post.

meguirs has this new product, it's call plastic polish. works great, used it on my mom's 2000 altima. cleared it right up. i found them at autozone, the only place who seems to carry it right now.

I just took mine to get polished and watched the entire process. To begin with, my '97 EX headlights were so cloudy that you couldn't see anything inside the housing. Now, 2 weeks later, the headlights still look brand new. It was well worth the 25$ per light, but next time I'll do it myself.

They used a spray bottle with soap and water and wet-sanded with 1000, then 2500 grit sandpaper. Afterwards they used a UV protectant and wiped it on with a paper towel. My headlights look brand new.

I'm not 100% on what kind of UV protectant it was but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

Dumb question, but what place did you take it to that does lens polishing?

Brasso will also work.

Getting them clear is the easy part keeping them clear is another challenge.

i bought a kit at a auto part store to refinish my headlights it came with everything needed you sand wet sand them and use some wax stuff and they look like 100% new lights i did mine and all my friends it works perfect and was only like 9$

on my ek, to polish em , do i have to take the lens off the housing and polish it from the inside or do i polish them from the outside?

dullness is on the outside not the inside. you don't have to take them apart to polish the lights.

anybody do this without wet sanding or taking the headlamps out? how was the outcome. The plastic polish i got at autozone says to just apply it and wipe it off.

also wetsanding, i could only find 600 grit. Is that high enough?

Autozone or Kragen will have a set with varying grit sand paper. 600 is not high enough, it will tear your lights up. 1500-2000 grit is what you should be using. Then use the plastic polish.
