Icon3 Fog light hole cutout catastrophe...

Well I got some fogs... my father in law has the tools and says he can cut the holes for me while Im at work... I gave him these directions... http://www.hondacivicforum.com/forum...-sheets-61880/
And some how he thought the directions were wrong and cut out the sides instead... is there any way to make this work or do I have to buy a new bumper and my own tools...

You could make it work, would just need to figure out the outer (meaning toward the outside of the bumper) mounting now. Basically fabricate your own bracket

If he cut away those two mounting points you're going to have to come up with modified brackets. go with only two mounting points or make your father-in-law get you a new bumper.

The father in law has problems reading the instructions.
I bet he was going off the pretty pictures.

Those instructions are pretty clear. Did the guy look at them at all, or just go with his 'gut feeling'? I am not impressed with reading comprehension skills.

So he fucked up your bumper, and laughed at you when you expected him to replace it?

TOTALLY sounds like the kind of guy I'd trust working on my car, OP. Why don't you let him take your wife out to dinner, and babysit your first kid, too?

Whoever had my Civic before I purchased it did the same thing to one side.
I just mounted the fogs anyways and used some wire to keep them tied together...
honestly, dude just do things yourself.
