Fog light fuse caught fire... *PICS* What happened?
I was driving back to school with a friend of mine, about an hour drive. Halfway through the drive I smelled something burning. I proceeded to drive, not knowing what was burning, if anything at all. A couple days later, I noticed my fog lights stopped working. I took the interior panel off and found the fuse holder had caught fire and melted.
I used the fuse that came with the kit and didn't think much of it. It's been working perfectly for about 6 months. What happened? What fuse is supposed to be in there?
Sorry for the low quality pictures...Blackberry Curves aren't designed for that I guess...

Looks like it got wet then corroded making it weaker than the fuse you were using (thus the fuse not blowing) then heating up and catching fire. That's just my opinion though.

I've seen that before. where it gets hot and melts, but doesn't break the connection. happened on one of my cars with an electric fan. it was installed by the previous owner. I didn't try to figure it out, I just pulled it and re-wired the whole thing.
