Default Flood damage repair?... anyone?

So, my friend has a car that was completely flooded during some hurricane a couple years ago. It's completely dry now,, but is dirty as **** and smells a little funny. he said he's thinking of selling it, and it might be salvagable. I was thinking it might be possible to get it running if all the fluids were changed, and all hydraulic systems flushed. what do you think? has anyone ever done this before? what wedre your results?

yeah actually it was. I wouldn't really give a **** about the power accessories. It's an 01 passat. probably would need a new turbo and engine bearings. maybe wheel bearings too.

all the electrical connections are going to start rusting. You would need to change all the fluids, electronics, wires, and interior to get it back to stock. That's a lot of time and money. The only thing the car is good for a racing type car with everything stripped out and full cage. Turn it into a drag racer or auto-x.
