This is true, and that is why I put that Edelbrock shot in there.
However, get the turbo kit, go to a Ref, get legal, and then install the FMIC and BOV. Most smog guys just want to see that you have been to the ref.

Greddy was only legal for the 92-95 if you had the "Black box" not the blue box (the one they now use)
It was never legal for the 96-00 Civics.
Yes, Apexi is still illegal.
Yes, Edelbrock is legal.

Re: Finally, Greddy! SOHC VTEC Turbo Kit is Cali legal. (Spade)
Hmmm, guess it's time to start saving for another GReddy kit. I used to run their Z6 kit on my Y8 and was always worried I'd get pulled over and sent to the ref. Didn't want to go through all the hassle. But it's good to hear they finally came out with a 50-state 6G kit. They should've tried harder to make it more complete and 50-state like the Edelbrock, though. If I had to choose now, I'd choose Edelbrock over GReddy.

damn.... greddy kit still isnt legal for 93-97 del sol motors =P
if you read thru the executive order, they can recind the exemption if they develop new tests that show that the kit adversely affects the emissions of the engine on different tests

So will it pass emissions with the added hardware of the FMIC and BOV?

Yes and Yes.
As long as you get smog legal equipment for the engine your good to go.
So you could actually have a GSR-T in a CRX and be completely legal!

do the refs actually check to make sure you have the greddy kit? or do they just look at the carb sticker? never been to a smog ref before.

I could have sworn that BOVs that vented to the atmosphere were illegal in California. Does the Edelbrock kit's BOV vent to the intake?
