Re: Finally automatic to manual coversion completed (fmrprojects)
yeah the key will be stuck in becasue your car wants to be in Park for it to come out.
There should be a white box with a slider on it that was underneath your original auto shifter, if you have that unplugged the car will not think its in drive. You will need to reconnect that box and position the slider in the park position.
you can move the slide slowly until you hear a click in the ignition and that will be your key releasing, it means you are now in park.
I had the same issue with my auto-manual swap. I highly recommend doing a swap on the internal wiring harness. took my brother and I about 4 hours and we took the chance to install power locks, windows and mirrors. Definately worth it.
edit: all I see it the mighty red X
edit again: look purdy pictures now

In order for it to be a sleeper it has to do something remarkable while maintaining an ultra-low profile. His does nothing remarkable, nor will it with a mini-me swap and DIY turbocharger.
Conclusion? It's not a sleeper, it's just a boring Civic in an ugly color.
