Default Fields Vtec controller setup

With a D16y8 on a stock ecu, what should I set the engagement points for vtec to kick for each gear. What was stock again? Also, how should I set the fuel?
Don't say the word "Dyno" in your statements.

thanks.

I think the Vtec engagement points cannot be set for each individual gear but rather it is governed by your rpm. 4600rpm would be the lowest you should set it at because anything lower than that you could fry your cams, and I would leave the fuel all at zero. If you are on a road trip you could lean out the mixture so you can get more economy.

I don't really have an answer to your question as far as what the fuel should be set at but for starters everything at zero should be a good starting point.

I know you don't really want to hear it but to get the best power gains from the vtec controller it should be put on the HP measuring machine aka dyno.(sorry)
I seriously doubt you will get any significant hp gains. But it is a good thing to have if you are thinking of a motor swap in the future... one less thing to go spend money on.

I am in the same situation ... Fields controller on a D16Z. I play around with it sometimes but I have not found a setting where I can feel anything significant.
