Ferrea valvetrain???
ok, as most of you know i have a d16z6 sohc vtec with a drag gen 3(look at sig.)
now my question is this: i just bought a full ferrea valve train.
1mm bigger intake valves.
1mm bigger exhaust valves.
heavier valve springs.
titanium retainers.
and the head has been PnP, also full gasket and port match..
i spent about 1000-1100$ and i was wondering what my gains will be from this.... if anybody has had exsperieance with this setup..
can i look forward to about an easy 50whp and a higher revlimit now that i have better valve springs??
any input would be much appreciated....... i am just tring to see if it was worth the money to do all this....(i also posted this in the forced induction forum.....trying to get some input.)
thanks
brian

Re: Ferrea valvetrain??? (TurbodCX)
it all depends on how well the p&p was done on the head...reputable shop? flow benched? in the chamber did they unshroud the valves? you could look at upwards of 50 if the head was done right...so yes, it is possible.
