FAQ: HOW-TO FIX WATER LEAK ON PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR
I like many others have experienced a water leak on the passenger floor, horrible it was like i had my own pond in my car. Problem one was the window was in wrong and it had a shitty seal and that caused the first problem. problem 2 wasn't that easytill I took the time to research it, and found out that water was running down the windshield and into my heater core and on to the floor.
First things first remove the wipers.
Next remove these plugs, they just popout make sure you remove both pieces(plug and hole)it makes for an easy install.
Next twist these 180deg. and pull up and they will come out
The problem: water runs up and over this and into the heater blower and on to your floor
The cause: this gasket doesn't make seal anymore and it leaks.
The materials:
to remove the old gasket
to make the new gasket
The fix: run the new gasket where the old one was(obviously)
i ran two lines where the old one was and reenforced the bigger gasket
then build up a wall over the part the water was running down, and then install everything back in its proper place.

Re: FAQ: HOW-TO FIX WATER LEAK ON PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR (nocturnaldragon)
I used to have a 93 civic EX and I read on the problems those models had and one of them was the water leak. Honda didn't design that model very well to handle water leaks. Before I sold mine I had the windshield replaced, After about 4 months, the water started to leak everywhere inside the car!!! 1,2,3 heater speeds also didnt work only 4. Also the rear drivers side quarter panel leaked also in the trunk. When I pulled the carpet lining back inside the truck area, there was a puddle of water just sitting there. So I just got ride of it before it started to rust.
