ok i just bought a 99 EJ8 and want to start working on my interior. i was wondering if anybody has ever put a 2006 and up SI dash in a EJ8? if anyone has info on this one help a fellow honda junky out

C'mon. Be a trailblazer! Not a follower! You could be known as the Christopher Columbus of FA5/FG2 dash swaps. But since no one has seem to have done it first AND posted a "How To" you should just move on and spend your money elsewhere.

ok if im gonna do this can anybody tell me the dimensions of an ej8 dash and dimensions for the FA5 and FG2 i assume there the same but you never know.
my biggest concern right now is will it fit from door to door without major moding to the car or dash...

They are 2 completely diff chassis. It can work with alot of custom work. but if you have never done anything like this before I wouldn't even attempt to start. It will require alot of custom wiring and soldering. and maybe even fiberglass work. You would some how make the door panels work with this dash. also you would need to buy Speed-O-Healer to use the Civic SI digital gaugecluster just like the S2000 cluster swap so there goes 120 bucks just for that. Im not telling you not to do it, its just gonna require alot of skills, time and money. good luck.

well as far as the wiring is concerned i think if someone has done the s2000 cluster setup they might be able to do this wiring. of course im expecting more than one try to get it but thats cool. i know this is a hard task but if i do it i will take it one step at a time and basically it is just to be diffrent and try something new. well anyway it was just something i was looking into, i didnt know id be the first with this in mind. mostly of of curiosity.

lol yea I understand man well good luck with what ever you decide. I just don't wanna see someone wasting their money on a project that wont turn out the way they expected. Just lookin out.
