Also what F22 are you using? SOHC? DOHC?
Sorry but I think it's a horrible waste of mounts, axles, labor, etc. unless you're getting the H22A VTEC.

Okay I guess I won't argue against it if his mind is made up, but it's an awful lot of extra work and money on mounts and other parts for at best 150hp at the crank.
I won't be ignorant enough to say that you cannot make power with them because Bisi runs low 10's with one, probably 9's by now, but it is fully built and carb'd version in a super light chassis.
Unless he has some sort of big plans for it I just don't see the point...
Carry on!

I dont think he is trying to be the fastest guy around. He justy wants to be able to not only beat me but also other cars, possibly be in the low 14's high 13's. And still have relieabilty. And for the price i dont think it is a bad swap.

tell that to bisi. i once though of doing this swap too. still might in the near future
wheni saw the numbers of a stock f22 i was impressed.150hp and 135lb tq with only 8.8 compression. add some juice or a sick *** cam and head work and ur set. i think itd be a good swap personally

if your going to do all the same work and buy all the extra stuff, i dont see why you wouldn't get the h22. single cam is cooler?

No **** did you not see where I already stated I'm fully aware of what Bisi runs with an F22 block?
Reading is fundamental.
The bottom line is that this guy wants one stockish with bolt-ons. Bisi has a fully built version with carbs, high CR, etc. - Bisi is also an engineering master too, which cannot be said for half of the rest of us who need to start with the best platform possible.
For the price of the mounts and extra bullshit he could be well on his way to a B18B swap, which will make more power.

I'd say it's good if you want to be different and stay single-cam. But it is a lot of work, which as stated above, easier to drop in a B18B. But my 1997 Honda Accord EX has the F22B1 which has some pretty good torque if you ask me. It's Automatic and still moves around pretty good. Mate it to a H22 tranny, should be pretty fun driving.

A stockish one with a homemad CAI, Kamikaze header, muffler shop 2.5" exhaust, and a VAFC can give u pretty good numbers
a friends made 155whp and 148ft/lbs to the wheels with a sohc vtec f22b1 with those mods
they are very plugged up motors in stock trim
If you stick a turbo kit on it, they make relatively big numbers with stock internals

Re: f22 in ej7 (sohcvtec1995)
i did an f22a1 in my 94 lx 4dr. in portland it ran 14.7@97mph on a oem header. 2.50" exhaust homemade coldair intake, stock 13" steelies, and no suspension work. i would light the tires up in second gear with the h22 tranny. very good swap, if you have the parts to do it, i say do it. but basicaly you need to buy the mount kit for the h22 into a civic. and to make your life alot easier, buy the axles rom them too. good luck
