Default a/f gauge wire color on a 98 civic dx ecu

I installed my a/f gauge about a year and a half ago to the white wire on the first O2 sensor, and it is not even close to accurate. I soldiered it in a while later and get the same problem. and about onc a month it throws a code at me. so i reset the ecu and it goes away for about a month. I want to ditch the idea of going to the O2 itsself and go to the wiring harness at the ecu. was wanting to know if any of you guys know the correct color of wire and what plug to go to. I was looking in some books and I came up with the idea that I am suppose to go to the fat pink one. but all the searched I did says the fat white one. anyone know??

should be the solid white fat one on the middle plug. also you mentioned that your a/f gauge is "not even close to accurate." Just keep in mind that they all are even if you tap the right wire. I'm turbocharged and when I'm under boost is the only time that the a/f guage will not just bounce back and forth rapidly.

well it was good for about 3 months. really accurate, then I changed to a T tap and from there it went to codes. , so I said forget that spot and soldiered it on it a different spot insuring that I had a good connection and the same thing happened. and I still get CEL every month or so. so I want to try the ecu wire
