My car has been sitting for over a yr in a half, now that i started to get it going on the road i noticed every time i rev it. this black watery liquid squorts out and alot i cant figure out what it is, someone told me that my head gasket is going out. iduno if its true but what the hell is it and how do i get rid of it? please help because i have to get it smoged and i dont think that they will do it if its like that and its alot comeing out thank u

dude the more water comes the better, means the engine has complete pure combustion. plus the catalytic converter is working properly.. so relax

Is the inside of the tail pipe black? Exhaust is a carbon emission that also contains water vapor and when left at stand still turns from vapor to liquid. The liquid sits int he tail pipe with all the carbon deposit blackness and leaks when your car starts. You'll know if you head gasket goes becuase you'll smell burning anti-freeze and your car will run like *****.

If you can notice that black watery liquid is squirting out while reving it than thats really really bad. For it to shoot out of that blind spot into open view than something is wrong.

If the car is running at the proper temperature, the water should be vaporized before it exits the car.

It sounds like you just have some moisture built up in your exhaust system. This is normal after sitting for a while. Just drive it for an hour or so, to get the system nice and hot, then see if it still comes out.

thank u all, and yes the tail pipe is black inside, but i am gona just drive it for a bit and see how it goes. i havent drove it for a long time so ill check it when i get back home. its just that ive never seen anything like it and had me worryed that thr is something wrong ill post tomorrow after my drive. thank u again.

LOL, that's condensation inside your piping. The reason it's black is because the carbon buildup inside your piping.

thanks to everyone that has commented, But i did drive my car around for an hr and came back home and its still doing the same. would it still pass smog if if it continues to do it? Or it doesent affect it.
