Default Exhaust repair question.

Hey guys. Basically the exhaust fell apart due to rust. Would I be able to have this rewelded or would I have to replace the entire midpipe? This is the section after the resonator, not before.

Thanks.

if you just want to get by with what you have..
you could cut off what is rusted/rotted and weld in a new piece

Good. Cars a daily driver that'll probably **** the bed soon, so the cheaper the better.

Thanks.

same thing happen to me 1 year ago. I just bought new 5zigen after cat exhaust and put in with a used integra cat and trashed the OEM rusted pipe. Runs alot better if u plan to save on $$ just take it to local shop and have them get it fixed, prolly charge you $30- $40. But if you want to feel more HP and torque go my route. theres really no point of welding rust back on

hehe... some extra pipe and some clamps ought to take care of that. If this is indeed a beater and u don't have access to ur own welder.

cut off a few inches on each pipe and weld a pipe in between. make sure you grind the rust away too so itll be a clean weld.

Hit up a junkyard and get the exhaust from there. Cheaper and easier fix than any of the others.
