Exhaust Question (I hate vBulletin search engine)
Will a 00 SI exhaust bolt up to a 00 DX?
Heard that the cats are different lengths!!
Any help would be great before I waste my time, thanks

Re: Exhaust Question (I hate vBulletin search engine)
As far as I know the DX with the d16Y7 engine has the cat integrated into the exhaust manifold. So in terms of length they should be the same but the front of the exhaust will stop short of where the cat should be...

I know for a fact as I have both cars at the moment.
That doesn't mean you couldn't do it with some work though.

Same deal on the sedan... If it's a D series engine the cat is connected to the ex. mani.
You could get a cheap header (for a D series) and then bolt in your 00 SI exhaust (incl the Si cat) to that header.. I THINK that would work but you would need to cut out some piping to make it fit.. Make sure you get a D series header though because D and B engines have different bolt patterns for the ex. mani.
Edit: if you wanted to take a sedan exhaust and fit it to your hatch you'd be in the same boat as the axle back back section would be too long for the hatch. Again, you may be able to make it fit by cutting out some piping.

Could someone else weigh in on this and confirm if that would actully fit as I am not 100% sure on this having never done it myself?
