Default Exhaust question

What's the easiest way to silence an exhaust? I have this OBX rice muffler on that the owner before me put on and it's really loud. Someone told me I could get a resonator. Does anyone have any experience with muffler shops? How much would it cost? I can't find a silencer for this exhaust anywhere.

I just don't wanna drive around sounding ricey with that fart can. If they put on the resonator, how much sound will it reduce? Plus, I'm tired of having to drive 40 in 5th gear to keep my RPMs low just so the cops don't stop me. Would a resonator tke the attention away from me? Any help would be appreciated.

Alright, I just called my local muffler shop and they told me it would be 125 for the stock muffler, to cut and weld it, and all other labor. Now, I think the stock muffler looks a little to thin, especially since some of my rear bumper was cut a little so that this one would fit. It will look really weird and gay if I just put a stock muffler there now. Does anyone know a place that sells just mufflers, not too big, just a little bigger than the stock ones? I want it to be really quiet, like stock. Will I even be able to make it quiet after it's cut?

Wait, I'm new at this, ok, so is he gonna just cut off the exhaust? What if I just got an exhaust tip and he welded that on, woud that make it quiet?

Agh, I'll just have to take pics later today and who everyone what it looks like down there. It's like the owner cut off the old exhaust and just welded on this loud *** one. I'll take a pic and you guys who know can tell me what's the best thing to do.

Alright, if I bought this one, I could just take an exhaust tip and put it on just so it doesn't look too gay because of the piece of bumper that's missing??

Why won't it let me post more than 5 messages a day? I had to get a new account to get the question answered.

This is what I'm talking about when I said a piece of the bumper is rounded cut.

I don't think I should just use the stock exhaust.
