Default Exhaust problem

Whats going on guys. About a month ago i put on my exhaust system on my eg hatch. Its a 2 1/4 straight pipe to a tanabe muffler. Now for the problem, when my rpm's reach about 1800-2000 rpms, my exhaust rattles really loud and annoyingly, but its only between those rpms. What could be causing this? I checked all the hangers and what not and everything seemed to be fine so im confused on what the problem could be. I searched and didnt find anything so i thought maybe somebody experienced the same problem or knows the solution.

Although not so safe, have you been able to get under the car while it's running to see if it is vibrating on any part of the undercarriage? This is the only thing I can think.

yes i did and the piping isn't touching anything, the noises comes from the muffler. it sounds like a loud rattle

Was your muffler brand new? The only thing I could think of then is if something is loose in the muffler. And when you said "straight pipe," are you talking about instead of the cat, or you just mean a cat-back exhaust?

So if the muffler was used, it is possible that something is loose.
