Exhaust Manifold Crack w/pic

Exhaust Manifold Crack w/pic
I replaced my oxygen sensor on my 1992 Civic EX a little while ago, and forgot to buy a new exhaust manifold gasket so I used the old one. I then noticed a little smoke in the engine bay.. wasn't sure if it was PB blaster burning off or a sign I needed a new gasket. I got a new gasket to be safe.
Today when I was about to replace the gasket.. I (re)-noticed this crack (I saw it before, but didn't think it was a big deal). Before I replace the gasket, should I think about getting a new manifold? Could this crack cause an oxygen sensor to misread as I've failed emissions? Am I better off going OEM (junkyard if I can find) or is it worth upgrading to a DC Sports header or something?
Thanks,
Bill

Where do you live? I have a stock EX header sitting in my garage if you are local to Portland, Oregon...

Oh, that's not going to work then... I would look for one locally and if you can't find one, or if you find one and it's not super super cheap, just pick up a DC or another aftermarket header, everyone could use a little more horsepower right?

That's what I think I'll do.. one question though, can I get a DC Sports header with an oxygen sensor bung in the same spot? I don't want to have to spend $250 or so for a new header and then have to have a bung welded in too..
BTW, thanks for the help.

Re: Exhaust Manifold Crack w/pic (gawain)
DC headers come with an O2 extension harness... it extends the O2 sensor wires so you don't have to do that... plug and play, no cutting or splicing required

It depends on what state you live in. In CA if you have your cat in the manifold, you can't install an aftermarket header because it will relocate your cat.

Well, I'm in NJ.. but the Cat isn't in the manifold anyway on my 92 EX.. so that's not a problem either.

My old mani cracked in the same place. It didnt seem to leak mutch. I dont think it would be much of a problem anyway.
