Default exhaust diameter too big for stock motor - lost of power ???

eg6 hatch with CAI
i have tenzoR cat. and an invidia catback with 2.2 inches diameter ( interior or exterior !? )

i was thiking that i may loose power and torque thnking that i don't have any major mods.

the catback was from a prelude 2.3 SI non-vtec,but that's a 2.3l not a 1.6l

what do you say ?

most of the performance exhaust for the eg hatches are 2.25" or 2.5" systems so it would be the right size for your car.
are you stating there is a power loss or wondering if there will be?

You really shouldn't experience any loss in engine power, that is the normal size for the exhaust piping that aftermarket cat backs use. You should be fine.

might lose some tq down low and gain power at the top of the powerband. Thats really not that big of a pipe so I would think the difference would be minimal.

I don't see pretty much difference, maybe the tq is smaller now at low and mid. rpms like u said.

I am curious to g-tech the car like that and than with the silencer resonator in the muffler ( that's reducing the diameter ) but i think that the result would be worst.
