Default Exhaust

Hi. I finally saved up to get my exhaust, but I'm not sure which I want to get. Originally I was going to go with DC Sports, but then I decided to get the Tanabe Racing Medalion. Well, I was talking to some guy about it, and he said the racing medalion doesn't do good with civics. Can someone who has either of these or something else give me their input. Thanks a lot : )

I have had an Apexi N1 for about 3 months and love it. I don't think much of the Tanabe either, at least not on civics. If your looking for a good exhaust system I would go with either Theremal Research or Apexi. Just my .02.

Yes, I'd definitely highly recommend the Thermal exhaust.

Good luck,

I just bought a Thermal R&D stainless steel catback about 3 weeks ago for my 2000 civic ex coupe. I love it. It has a nice deep throaty sound to it. Its loud, but not annoyingly loud. Stainless steel unlike racing medallion and dc. It will last a lot longer.

Choose the muffler of your choice... and have the rest mandrel-bent with a resonator for about $100-$200 less than "name brand" exhaust companies. As long as it 2.25", mandrel-bent, and have the muffler that you want and like, you won't have any issues.

I have the tanabe rm on my 93 hatch gsr hybrid and it's deep until it hits vtec land. My b-pipe has broken twice where the resonator is welded in. I would like to a custom mandrel bent pipe but I have no clue what shops in VA does that kind of custom stuff.

Just goto any muffler shop and ask... I'm certain that they'd know who might be doing mandrel-bending in your neck of the woods. Normally the bigger muffler companies will not mandrel-bend to keep the cost down, try looking in the yellow pages or even the bargain trader.
