Default EX tranny identification

I'm going to be picking up a EX tranny Friday...is there any to tell for sure that it is an EX tranny, like any certain markings or anything? the guy said it's from a 96 ex..just want to make sure. Thanks.

For 96+ it's K4F for the EX's, and K5F for DX's.

EDIT: S20-40-whatever was for the 5G's

He's talking about the tranny, not the chassis
