Are there any cast markings on the EX manifold that will tell you if it is specifically an ex?

I dont know about the markings....but I think the 96+ EX manifolds are the ones with out the catalytic converter built into it. DX's and HX's have the cat built in the mani.

Hahaha...I don't know about the intake mani. But if I was a betting man I bet they would fit the DX head.

Re: EX manifold on a HX head!?! (Grimm)
Yeah I used to commute to Rider University in Lawrencville from Cherry Hill. I would draft 18 wheelers in the civic at 75mph and get 45mpg. Now I'm gettin 32mpg with a heavier foot and less highway driving.
As far as events....don't really no any other events other than the usual (uneventful for the most part in my opinion)sport compact car import drag/show events. I want to try the new but rather tight looking road course at E-town though, in the Civic and hopefully in my RX7(needs new motor) this comming spring/summer 2002.
Places for swaps and upgrades....no clue....sorry. I usually just buy stuff online. Stillen headers and powerslot rotors were bought online. 99+ SI B-pipe and muffler, EX cat converter....saw these on thepartstrader.com. Trying to keep costs down on the Civic.

Re: EX manifold on a HX head!?! (Spade)
It will work. But you won't have a working EGR system then.
BTW: I have an ex intake mani, with TB, and injectors I want to get rid of cheap....let me know. It is in great condintion.

Re: EX manifold on a HX head!?! (DragII)
DragII,
1. When ya gonna make up your mind about the name!?!
2. Exhaust gas recirculation.
All,
To tell the difference between an EX intake manifold and a HX intake manifold:
1. SIZE good god SIZE
2. On the back right side if facing the car, the EX has P2K........ITP-4 and the HX has P2J.......HF-4.
And the HX has a EGR system which makes me wonder. Well, to tech I go. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=100883
