EX door Panel into DX?!?!?!?
My buddy wants to use a set of EX door panels he has to put into his DX. Will the EX fit onto the DX? Will the window crank have enough room to turn with an EX door panel? I did some searching and couldnt find the exact answer, any and all help is appreciated thanks!

it'll work, you just need to drill a hole through the door panel for the window crank thingy. thats the setup i wanted, but im replacing the whole door so i get power locks and windows.

That's one of the most ridiculous things i've ever heard.
The panels are nearly indentical except that one uses Power windows and another a crank.
Does he want the window buttons for show?
Tell him to be a man and just buy the floor harness and wire the bitch up. It shouldn't take more than a few hours with the right stuff.

He could use the manual window (armrest) part of the panel and put it in the power window door panel (if you're referring to 92-95 civics)... I don't really understand why, because other than the power window switches there are not really any differences in the door panels. I would have to assume that his panels are beat up and he found a clean set of EX panels... I think if he wants to retain manual windows he would just be better off to look for some clean manual door panels. They would probably be cheaper anyway since power door panels are sought after by people who want to convert to power windows and door locks and that means those same people would be most likely getting rid of their manual door panels. Food for thought.

the ex inserts bubble out more than the ex/dx/cx/vx/si inserts do. your best bet would be swap the inserts. but then the only gain would be oem tweeter pods.

HE actually is doing it for the color change, He has a tan interior and the only black door panels he could find locally are the EX. Hence the question for fitment. I have no idea what he is going to do with the switches. I told him the same thing he should have just pulled everything from the yard and completed the whole conversion he replied that he likes the crank better, oh well what can you do lol!

Re: EX door Panel into DX?!?!?!? (Varao)
If it's for the lower door pockets besides the color change, that could be another reason. I just switched from my LX to my DX, the LX had power windows and the door pocket. The DX had cranks and no pocket. I'm not sure if the crank will work with the pocket or not.
I also had to swap in a power window setup into the rear of the DX (the crank regulator was all messed up), the panel is not the same as far as mounting the switches/handles. I can't remember exactly what the difference is, but I will when I have to go back in to wire up the motor so the window works. I think the power window handle is larger/longer.
