ex disk into vx conversion

will my vx rims fit ex disks?

Some say yes, some say no. I can't separate the two. They won't fit ANY bigger calipers for sure. The ones who say no have also said that they can be made to fit by filing the caliper, and some have said wheel spacers.

VX wheels are 13" and will NOT fit over the 5th gen EX caliper (not sure about later or earlier). HX wheels are the same as the VX wheels, but are 14" and will fit over the 5th gen EX and Si caliper as long as you either A) use a spacer to add more offset, or B) grind (not file, too much too just file) away some of the long, thin piece that goes from top to bottom on the outside facing edge of the caliper.

I just did this to my EX calipers to make a set of HX wheels fit... here's a pic...
