Everything happens for a reason...
This might be in the wrong section of HT, but I'd like to share this with you'll because this is the only section I visit. Anyway...
Thursday(9/4)-
I was working, but on my lunch break and I went to get food. Half way to Jack in the Box, I come to a stop at a light and when I go to take off, the engine in my sol just reved up with no movement (auto trans by the way). So I push it to the side of the road, pop the hood and reset the ecu. I start the car and it goes into drive, but then when I close my hood and proceed to continue to get food, it just revs again. Well it ends up the converter is trashing itself and cloging the trans screen, and therefore causing it to slip into nuetual.
Friday(9/5)-
We call a local shop to get the 5 speed trans that I have into the car and they quote me $2200 for the swap. So the owner of the shop mentions to my dad that if I'm willing to spend this much money just for the trans, I might as well swap in a B16A2. When I hear this from my dad, I can't believe my ears. My dream has come true. Soon i'll be cool like everyone else who has a b16.
But seriuosly, i'm glad i lost my tranny. I'll post my 1/4, which will probably be high to mid 15's, as soon as the transplant is done.

Re: Everything happens for a reason... (Plan B)
Get back to me because everything is a mess right now. I haven't even taken the old motor out.
