there was a thread of someone doing this last week cold and he had NO cylinders over 100....let it go to operating temp and had 210 across the board....

the oil in the TB is alright, nothing to worry about gets sucked in there sometimes via the valve cover breather or blows by the valve guides

Well, yeah there could be many different reasons for that. Cold to hot compression test is not a 100+ psi gain. Motors that have been sitting for a while tend to yield lower readings at first but 70 psi is weak.

I have to get the trans hooked up to the new motor, and that is going to require me to take the old one out of my car. I will be doing the install the next couple of days and I will keep you up to date on the progress. I was told that it needs to have the starter to turn the motor good enough to get a accurate reading. I have to say that they have been very friendly and great to deal with for customer service. I mean they actually called me, that is unheard of in this industry. Overall they are great just have to get the trans hooked up so I can see the real compression of this motor. Thanks to all
