You need to be more specific. High idle? Low idle? Searching idle? "Idle issue" doesn't tell us anything.

it surges around 300-400 as i stated when stoped. I could look it up but i just wanted to see how many other people have this problem with the same car

too rich or lean mixture can make idle surge in little increments like your talking.... change the cap, rotor, and wires and see if u still have the problem. sounds like u may need to bump the idle up if need be.... there is a spot above the intake inlet that has a flat head screw in it. usually if it has never been tampered with has silicone all over it and covering it up that may need removed before turning it out. You should be able to adjust ur idle to spec....750-850.... +/- 50 rpms... how many miles are on the motor? Maybe even doing a valve lash may help alittle..

I had the same problem with a '95 as posted above clean the IACV(very very easy) and FITV to start. The former can make an astronomical difference and fixed all problems for me.
