es motor mount inserts
ok so i went to put these into my motor mounts today and ran into a couple of problems.
the first being that they didnt fit whatsoeverrrrrrr. they are suppose to go into the side right and be nice and easy goin in?
welp mine didnt fit what so ever so i started to file and cut and lube and pinch and squeeze and nothing. at the end of the day i figured it out.
i think summit racing sent me the wrong ones so i need the part number of the es motor mount inserts for a 94 civic ex with the z6 in it thanks.
and if i could get some pics or something of an installed motor mount insert on a motor mount that would help to. thanks

Re: es motor mount inserts (sohctodohc)
if you remove the mount the inserts should slide right in no problem. sounds like you got the wrong ones.

Heretic:Si answered his question (they are suppose to go into the side right and be nice and easy goin in?) so chill out, ***.
Good luck returning the inserts after taking a file to them...

Re: (fizix_skate)
i just installed my inserts on my car 94 ej with a b18 i think the b series mounts are different not sure but the driver side motor mount is a bitch you have to cut out the inside then hammer out a metal lining then slide in the insert the back and pass side motor mount were cake but the car definatly rattles a **** load now but feels a lot stiffer worth it if you dont care to much about comfort or the bitchy passengers

Re: (crawlin)
where is the back one located? i looked underneath the car and i couldn't see it, but then i wasn't sure what the shape of it was. i could only get the inner side of the driver's side mount, the outer side was ******* impossible.

Re: (super_nguyen)
the rear mount is under the intake manifold. i didn't have to cut or hammer anything on my driverside mount, just lowered the motor a little took off the stock mount, put the insert in and put everything back together. vibration is very minor at idle. this is on a em1

Re: (Heretic:Si)
i have a built b18 in a ej so the mounts could differ and rattling would be less severe in a stock car from your em1 trust me the type of inserts i had you couldnt get the driver side in any other way.
but for super_nguyen the back mount is there but it could be kind of hard to see i just took out the bolts and moved the mount up and forced them in easiest way

okay im just making sure... but are u trying to put the inserts in the right mounts?
because i got those inserts and they went right in and i have a 94 civic dx coupe...
are u trying to put them in the torque mounts which are
tranny side lower mount, drivers side lower mount and the back one... im hoping ur not trying to put them into the upper mounts

Re: (sohctodohc)
also heres a little FYI. the ES inserts will not fit non oem mounts. i had a broken torque mount on my civic that i found when taken the insert and mount out when putting a hasport rear drag mount in and bought one from O'reilys and they wouldn't fit at all so i took it back bought a mount from honda and fit fine.
