Default Engine Wireing Harness. Big Problem, please help.

I keep blowing my ecu fuse now after i've had my swap for a few months. My shop says I need new harness. I'm running a 94 ls motor in a 99 civic. I'm told that I need a 99 LS harness and possibly a ECU. Please, if you have either of these or know where I can get them fast, let me know, thanks.

also, one more thing maybe you can help. Tonight, my car did not blow a fuse but twice the check engine light came on for a split second like it was going to blow, my car lunged foward, and then it kept running. It did this twice, i'm not sure what it was, i think my car is fucked, what would be the best harness for a 99 civic ex with a 94 LS motor in it? please help guys.

that motor is obd1 and your car is obd2...you can use youre harness but you need an ecu for an obd1 LS and you also need a jumper harness ( obd2b-obd1) youll have a few plugs not plugged in because your harness has vtec wires and knock sensor by the vtec wire...so just get an ls computer and jumper harness and you might need to change the distributor...unless you already did

since your car is obd2 get an obd2 ecu and dist....you wont need to change your harness..the plugs you need are all there youll just have vtec related plugs free

If you want to make it a heck of a lot easier you should go with a 99 Si harness and use the jumper harness to get to OBD1 from OBD2B. If going OBD2a or b, you def. have to change the dist. and other things.

Needing a 99LS harness and ecu? No, you dont need it. All LS ecus are compatible with the right OBD setup or jumper harness.

Thanks for the help, does anyone know where I can get a 99 si harness fast? I really need to get my car to stop blowing ecu fuses. Also, are you saying that the 99 ls harness would not be the best harness for my setup?

I wouldn't think you have a faulty ecu. Its like the other guy said. Then engine is a OBDI engine and you have an OBDII computer. Get the conversion harness for OBDII to OBDI and run the ecu for the motor you bought.
