Engine Swapped In!
What's up everyone, I have been working on a b18b swap into my 93 hatch and have finally gotten the engine installed. I far I have gotten all the wiring connected and the driver side axle in. I just need to install the passenger side and fill the tranny and engine with fluid. This is my first honda swap so I would like to know what a lot of you swappers out there do before you fire up the motor for the first time. I heard something about removing coil wire and cranking oil around through the motor first. Any insight would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

is the engine rebuilt or used? did you check the water pump and oil pump ... double double check all lines and wires...check plugs and wires , when you start it up chekc timing water temp, oil psi. if you dont have the guages or tools , run the engine for 5-10 mins dont put it in gear just run and then shut it off. check eveything make sure nothing is leaking and sparking or anything like that. then pull it out and after the engine is warm you can rev it high, then take it for a spin, dont be too hard on it. and when you know everything is working its time to have fun.

oh if the engine is new/rebuilt and fresh then you want to do a normal brake in witht that but it sounds like its a used engine and you dont need to brake it in... i just let it run so the can get oiled well before you go into high rpms
