Do an h2b swap. H series motor with b series trans. I live in Indiana and its being sold on the indy Craigslist for $800. With the usual bolt-ons and a tune or chip for e85 you can have a deep 12 second car. The h2b swap is called the k killer for a reason...

With $2000 doing a b18b swap would be the best thing and the simplest thing if you're on a tight budget. The motor has a lot of potential as a cheap boostable motor.

If i wasn't dead set on an h2b, I would most certainly boost a b18b.

There is no way you can obtain a H2b OR a legit GSR (B18C1) setup for under $2000.

H22 long block - $1000
GSR/B16 tranny - $1000+

there will be no money left to buy the H2B kit. What kind of advice is this? Seriously, the OP should look into a simple LS (B18b1) complete swap.
