Default engine swap question

what all would have to be added when going from a 1.5l to a 1.6l vtec(d16z6). i know that a wire for vtec will be needed. is there only one wire for vtec. but i dont know about everything else.

ok now that thats out of the way. i have a del sol si. im droping a ls vtec in it, so everything is coming out. my friend just bought a del sol s for $600 and he might want to buy my old motor. thats why im asking what will be needed.

i don't get your situation really...mind explaining it again?

ok it seems you have a del sol si (d16z6?) and dropping ls/vtec in it. your friend has another del sol and wants your old d16? or d15 from another car? d15 to d16z6 on what car?

i see...your friend is swapping out his d15 to your d16z6. it should be the same procedure as the ones on 92-95 civics with d15 to d16z6. i believe, you wire:

-vtec solenoid
-vtec oil pressure

that's all. no knock sensor, etc. someone add to this....

no knock sensor needed. and yes everything in my car will be coming out. motor, trany, axles, ecu, shift linkage. all of that will be going into the other car.
