engine swap from esi to sir - map sensor issue (solved)
i have just swapped out my 1998 uk 1.6 esi engine for a 1992 1.6 sir jdm,
now i know that for ecu purposes i need a harness to allow my wiring to work with ecu obd2a in to obd1,
but i have just realised that the 1998 wiring loom (from car) does not have plug for map sensor to plug into from the loom where as the sohc engine has the plug on the engine which then plugs into the cars loom,
so im confused and stuck on how i can solve this issue or is it a case of getting an auto electrician to some how add a connect to the loom on car to plug into map sensor
everything is connected but its the map sensor thats stopping me finishing as i believe without it car will go into limp mode,
all help will be grateful as clearly im stuck!
thanks

Re: engine swap from esi to sir map sensor issue
if you have the car that your taking engine from you basically have to follow wires from map sensor to ecu (3 wires) cut them from harness and re_wire to ecu in new car making sure you use correct wires and in correct order
