Engine Swap & A/C in an EG... Possible or not?
Some people say not to worry about the a/c when you get a engine swap, but I just can't stand the heat. I've asked people this question before and they said that any B Series engine that you swap will allow you still have an a/c. But my friend looked at the gsr engine and the a/c setup was different.
1. My question is, what engine can I swap into my EG that will still allow me to have an a/c?
2. If it is possible, will I be using my stock a/c from my d16 or will I be using the a/c from the car that I get the engine from?

If you hate heat like I do, keep the A/C. I am in Florida for school right now I would roast without it. To answer you question, any B series engine will allow you to use A/C. The thing you will have to consider is the A/C compressor bracket. If you use a GSR motor like you describe seeing, you will have to use a 94-95 del sol vtec a/c engine bracket stamped with P54 on along with your STOCK civic A/C compressor to correctly mount the compressor. There are some other ways to rig it, but this by far is the most reliable set up.

Couldn't have said it better.

Would I be using my stock civic a/c or the one that comes off the gsr engine.
Your replies were very helpful, thank you very much!

You'd be using the compressor that was already on the car, not the GSR compressor. Hope you haven't broken the system open, because R12 is VERY expensive to buy.
You need an A/C bracket of a Del Slo VTEC to make it happen.
HASport sells them just for that application. Try them @ http://www.hasport.com/

Wehn you do a swap just keep the system intact and leave the compressor connected to the lines. Easy Easy Easy.
