engine suddenly stops ? ? ?

engine suddenly stops ? ? ?
I finally finished the gsr swap in my 93 civic dx. The car was running fine and I was letting it run, revving it up making sure all was well and when I shut the door, the car shut off. No bogging, no knocking, no noises...it just instantly shut off after I shut the door. I checked the fuses, relays, plugs, connections...I couldn't find anything. The check engine light came on but I don't have the equipment to check the codes. The car will now crank, but it wont start.
Any ideas? ? ?

to check codes. its very easy. dont over think it read this: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/how-pull-cel-d4-srs-abs-codes-code-lists-1901557/
also dont keep trying to turn it over. make sure the timing belt didnt break. this happened to me when i was at a light and it was the timing belt, broke teeth, bent a few valves but nothing major.
also it could be the ignition coil in the distributor. check the FAQ area on how to replace/check it.
and before buying ****, check your grounds!, make sure battery is good, altenator is connected. a plug could of just fallen out.
check the easy free stuff before buying!!!

I couldnt get any codes out of it, but I did find out that I'm getting no spark from my dizzy. I will let y'all know what I find when I get the chance to check it out.

i was gonna say "replace your dizzy" because that's exactly what my LS did to me a few weeks ago. If you're not getting any spark and your fuel pump isn't priming, check your main relay under the dash.

The driver's door is awfully close to the main relay. Check that the connector is fully seated, whether fuse 31 or 24 is blown, and whether the G101 ground on the thermostat housing is loose, disconnected, or corroded.
When you turn the key to ON(II), does the fuel pump prime for 2 seconds?

At the moment I have two ecu's; a chipped p05 and an obd1 p72. When the p05 is plugged in, the fuel pump doesn't prime...which is strange because the p05 is what the car was using when this whole problem started. But with the p72 the fuel pump primes for two seconds...?

Re: engine suddenly stops ? ? ?
It starts with neither of the two. Which is really starting to boggle my mind because the car was running fine with the p05 and BAM...shut the door and the car is f*cked. Won't start with either ecu.

It's gotta be something easy unless it was just a coincidence that it quit working once the door was shut. I'm thinking (and I don't mean to beat a dead horse) but it sounds as if you have a lose wire. I'd check the grounds and what not before i did anything else like most everyone else stated.

I checked that and the timing belt is fine. No missing teeth and no rips or shredding.

Re: engine suddenly stops ? ? ?
I checked many times and I'm not getting spark. I don't yet have the equipment to check the coil, but the question is why did it just randomly stop? The engine and components ran fine for over 10k miles before the swap was even pulled so why would it randomly stop? I guess things fail, but it's so random lol

Alrighty...I finally got ahold of a multimeter and I tested the coil. I guess it's supposed to be between .6 and .8 ohms, but it kept reading 0. I checked multiple times and I kept getting the same results.
Could this be the problem? Do I need a new coil?

Alright. I will have to check around for the best price...ones from the local auto stores are about $70-80 and ones online are anywhere from $20-100. I will let you guys know what happens when I get one though.

Got a new coil and nothing has changed. I am getting mixed readings from the icm, though. So I need to find another one of those now lol
