had a b16a swapped into my 92-95 eg recently and now that its gotten cold outside....when im driving the tach jumps back and forth and there is no throttle response for a brief second and then kicks back in... i have no idea whats going on any help greatly appreciated.

At first i thought it was because motor was cold but now it happens when im driving after it been warm for a while...

 

Do you have a MSD ignition system on it, thats what made my tach jump around, and also have you checked the gap on your spark plugs?

 

does JUST the tach jump or does the motor actually rev up? Maybe a vaccum leak...

the tach jumps and you can feel the car jerk soon as the tach jumps while driving and there is no throttle response but it lasts about 10 seconds then car drives normal
