Default Engine noise d16y7

Hey HT,
lately I've been growing worried about my engine. I currently run a stock d16y7 with 145xxx miles. I uploaded a video to youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9scrM...ature=youtu.be
Please let me know if you guys think somethings wrong
I appreciate any feedback.
Thanks a lot!

Sounds like you spun a bearing and caused rod knock.

Get under the car and listen. If it sounds lounder and like a jack hammer then its the rod.

Also drain the oil and see if there is any metal in it. If so it comfrims it.

Because it sounds to loud and to slow for valves.

Which noise are you talking about? The tapping or the grinding?

Thats not rod knock.

If you can possible explain both, that would be great.
My engine runs just fine, just the noises are scary.
I'm not sure if its safe

More than likely the tapping is just the valves needing adjusted if they havent been. It just sounds like a typical typewriter D series to me.

The grinding could be the water pump going out. Whats the mileage on the engine?

Service interval for timing belt and water pump is every 100k miles. If it hasnt been done it definitely should be ASAP. Good luck with the lash adjustment. Its pretty easy on a D.

Yeah, I had the timing belt and water pump done like 30k miles ago. And I'll be watching videos and reading about how to do this valve adjustment.
Thanks for everything!
