engine mounts
HI! I have a stock 97 civic hx and I need to get a lower front engine mount and was looking around at different ones. I found that there is a complete energy motor mount set on ebay for the price taht I can get the one I need from auto zone. Has anybody had any experience with energy motor mounts, especially from ebay? Or do you suggest a specific brand?
thanks,
robert

Re: engine mounts (hall97civic)
Energy makes the inserts, not the whole mount, that's why it's cheaper. You would need to remove the stock mount, have the rubber pressed out and the energy inserts pressed in. I run energy's suspension bushing kit all the way around in my ej8 and they get . They make good products.

Re: engine mounts (Blk00EJ8)
I have a press and several bfh's so the hole removal and pressing shouldn't be too hard. Did you do it yourself? Many problems with your removal and insering of the bushing/mounts? Just curious and am looking around because I will have to cut one of the bolts for the lower engine mount, drill a hole in the uni-body, weld in a new nut, weld the hole shut, and put a new mount on

I unfortunately didn't have a press so I had my local suspension shop do it for me. I simply removed the arms, etc, and gave 'em to them... they turned around next day and had it done for a decent price. It's really not too hard if you have access to a press.. good luck.
