engine harness needed for fuel pump to prime?
i have a 92 civic si hatch. i pulled the b18 swap out cause it was in a flood, this car didnt run when i bought it. well im in the process of fixing things and i notice the fuel pump doesnt come on. theres power at the relay plug and the pump works if i jump the pins but relay doesnt click at all. bought a new one and still nothing. ecu is plugged in and worked fine when i had it in my ef (had a d15b7 swap). my question is does the engine harness have to be plugged in for the relay to work? i mean if theres no t stat ground could that be preventing it from working?

The G101 ground on the thermostat housing is absolutely required for the ECU and main relay to work. Until it's connected, the fuel pump won't prime.

gotcha. could i plug the engine harness into the shock towers and then ground the t stat ground wire on something else to see if the relay and pump works afterwards?
