Default Engine Harness Deadend Plug issue

I bought a Rywire harness from a friend of mine and he was feeding it through the heater core of a 95 civic and he said the dead end connector with the yellow and black wires was cut off because it wouldnt fit...car never started of course and he sold me the harness for cheap and he gave me the plug he cut. the issue it that id like to connect the chopped off plug back but the yellow and black wires look the same. How do i go about fixing this issue

It's called a junction connector. It shouldn't matter what order you reconnect the wires as long as you match wire colors.

RonJ@HT what does a junction connector do? could that be the cause of the fuel pump not coming on and ignition not coming on when my friend turned the key? He would get power on the dash but thats it

what does a junction connector do?
Rather than splice multiple wires together, Honda uses junction connectors to distribute power or ground from a single source to multiple electrical components.

could that be the cause of the fuel pump not coming on and ignition not coming on when my friend turned the key?
yes

RonJ@HT thanks for the info, so when i look at the connector i have 9 black wires (im guessing grounds) and 7 yellow wires all the same yellow with no stripes or markings on them ( im guessing power) You said just reconnect proper wires to there colors? cause some of the wires have like 2 wires going into one pin. I just dont want to put a wire in the wrong place

The Yel/Blk wires may supply voltage from the main relay to the 4 fuel injectors, the IACV, the O2 sensor, and the EVAP purge valve.

Disconnect battery.

Match Yel/Blk to Yel/Blk

and

Match Blk to Blk

Order is unimportant

Use solder and shrink wrap.

No you will not short anything out. They are junction connectors, if
you look at the lead constructed in the plastic female connector you
can clearly see that there is a pattern to this wiring. The same color
wires share the same circuit. Look at the lead on the junction
connector, you will find out yourself.
