so a friend of mine has a 92 hatch with a b series gsr head with a type r block, anyways his engine light was on and he checked it and it threw up code 41 which is primary oxygen sensor heater, now codes 1 and 2 are oxygen sensor #'s 1 and 2. whats the diffrence in the three codes and what should he do? he recently got a new O2 sensor from honda from his automotive teacher and worked fine but dose not know if it matters from a d series and b series and if it even relates to the code. can anybody help? thanks

 

Code 1 indicates a problem with the O2 sensor component or circuit that measures O2 levels.

Code 41 indicates a problem with the heating element or circuit of O2 sensor.

As far as I know, there is no code 2 for 5th gen Civics.
