Electronics Problem?
Hey guys,
The past 2 days ive been working on changing my climate control lights to amber, and now i've got a problem.
I pulled the control, swapped the bulbs, and put it back together, but now I can't get my radio to work, and my clock is acting weird.
My radio doesnt seem to be getting any power, the wires are all spliced fine, fuses are fine, and my clock doesnt display anything unless I press the button on the clock itself. I have no idea how this could have happened, is there something I could have cut when putting back in the climate control?
The car is a 92 EG

I just did this recently. My cars a 98 though. Did the bulb swap and put everything back together and my Headunit only had power to open but wouldnt turn on.
I checked the fuse in the back, that was fine. So I rewired it all, butt connectors FTW. still nothing.
Looked in the service manual, Found the underdash fuse for the AUDIO. Bingo it was blown. Did you disconnect your battery before you took it apart?

Is it an aftermarket Radio?
Check the plug in the back, is it in all the way?
Switch the fuse from another spot to make SURE its still good. You checked the fuse behind the radio?

Swapped fuses, and the radio still doesnt work...
I think I figured out the clock though, I saw another thread and it said that the "backup" fuse under the hood can mess with the clock, I checked mine and its blown...
But I still cant figure out the head unit problem.
Could it be possible that the new bulbs in the climate control are taking away to much power?

Re: (Morasso)
the back up fuse runs the power to your clock AND radio, you blew the fuse by grounding a wire in the area while working.
now that you changed it, the circuit to your clock might have been fine, but you might have fried your power wire going to your radio, its red or yellow i believe... its been a while.
but i know you gotta just check the wiring to your radio, something changed, thats the only way it wouldnt work. i had the same issue with the clock, and radio never worked when i wired it up... so i had to always run my own constant power wire straight from the battery to listen to the radio, but the clock was funny, JUST like yours.
checked the backup fuse, bad.
AS im changing it and putting the new one in, BOOM goes the new one..
i rewired the raido the way it should be then tried it, vwala, bright perfect clock, and clean functioning radio.
like i said, if it drives you crazy enough, you can always grab power for it from the fuse box..
ghetto, but works till you find the problem..
